Event Description:
The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce announces that it will be hosting its biennial Thousand Oaks City Council Candidates Forum on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 10 a.m. The event will take place at the Lundring Events Center at California Lutheran University and will be moderated by Dr. Herb Gooch, professor of Political Science at California Lutheran University.

All 4 candidates will have the opportunity to make personal statements to the audience and will answer prepared and submitted questions.

Candidates for the City Council opening are:
  • Ed Jones, CRPD Parks Commissioner
  • Rob McCoy, Pastor/Educator/Businessman
  • Chaise Rasheed
  • Dan Roundtree, Thousand Oaks Planning Commissioner

Jill Lederer, President and CEO of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, had the following remarks:  “As the professional association representing more than 1,000 business members to our local government, we are proud to once again produce the City Council Candidates Forum.  It is important for opportunities like this one to take place and allow the voters to hear the candidates’ views on issues important to them."
